Alabama is about to become one distribution center richer.
A new $57 million FedEx distribution center is coming to the city of Dothan, according to an announcement by the city’s chamber of commerce.
The announcement was made Tuesday in collaboration with Gov. Kay Ivey, the Houston County Commission and other organizations across the city and state, according to the Facebook post.
More business news:
The new distribution center will stand on a 70-acre site off Sam Houston Boulevard in the Sam Houston Industrial Park and add more than 200 jobs to the area.
Construction on the new center is expected to begin sometime in December and is expected to be completed in late 2022, according to WTVY.
