Following his breakout success in the late 2000s, Aaron Paul has proven to be one of the industry’s most versatile and prolific talents. In his early 40s, Paul already has over 80 acting credits to his name in addition to producing some of his more recent work.

With Westworld returning for season 4 later this year, fans of Paul can expect to see him on the small screen again soon. In the meantime, here are his best roles to revisit, ranked according to Rotten Tomatoes.
Starring Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson, Central Intelligence tells the story of two former high school classmates who go on the run after one of them, now a CIA agent, appears to have gone rogue. With the help of the other, a forensic accountant, they work together to figure out who set up the agent.
Paul plays Phil Stanton, the former partner of the CIA agent who is believed to have been killed in action. The rest of the cast includes Oscar nominee Amy Ryan as another CIA Agent, and Kumail Nanjiani and Jason Bateman in bit parts.
Based on the 1973 film of the same name, Westworld takes place in a fictional, western theme park populated with android hosts. However, when the hosts start to question their reality, the order of the artificial world begins to unravel.
Paul joins the cast in the third season as Caleb Nichols, a former soldier and petty criminal who is influenced by a host who has exited the park. The main cast of Westworld includes Jeffrey Wright, Thandiwe Newton, Ed Harris, and Evan Rachel Wood in one of her best roles.
Set in Upstate New York, The Path follows a family central to the fictional cult of Meyerism. When the father Eddie, played by Paul, returns from a spiritual retreat where he experienced a revelation, he begins to question his faith.

In addition to starring in the show, Paul also served as one of its head producers. The show ran on Hulu for three seasons and includes a cast of Michelle Monoghan, Hugh Dancy, and Keir Dullea.
Against the backdrop of modern-day Utah, Big Love focuses on a fundamentalist Mormon family that practices polygamy. The show revolves around their lives in and out of the public sphere and their associations with a local fundamentalist compound.
Paul appears in 4 seasons of the show as Scott Quittman, the boyfriend of the family’s eldest daughter who is an ex-Mormon. The show’s primary cast includes Chloë Sevigny, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Bill Paxton in one of his most memorable roles.
Smashed details the lives of a married couple who are alcoholics. When a series of embarrassing incidents put her job at risk, the wife Kate decides to get sober with the help of a coworker and sponsor from Alcoholics Anonymous.
Paul plays Charlie, Kate’s husband, who continues to drink around Kate despite her efforts to get clean. The film premiered at Sundance Film Festival before being picked up by Sony Pictures Classics and given a limited theatrical release. The rest of the cast includes Nick Offerman, Octavia Spencer, and Megan Mullally.
In rural Pennsylvania, American Woman tracks the life of a single mother Deb, played by Sienna Miller, over the course of 11 years after she is confronted with raising her granddaughter in the wake of her daughter’s disappearance. While the case goes cold, she struggles to cope in the aftermath of the loss.
Paul appears later in the film as Chris, a man Deb is introduced to whom she marries quickly after becoming romantically involved, only to eventually find out he’s been dishonest to her. Other notable actors in the film include Christina Hendricks, Will Sasso, and Sky Ferreira.
Released 6 years after the original ending of Breaking BadEl Camino serves as an epilogue for the TV series and gives audiences a new iteration of Jesse Pinkman. Now on the run as a fugitive after escaping the Brotherhood compound, Jesse must go through a whole new fight to secure his freedom.
The follow-up movie was well received and received 4 Emmy nominations. Several Breaking Bad cast members reprised their characters either during Jesse’s escape or in flashbacks, including Jonathan Banks, Robert Forster, and Krysten Ritter in one of her best roles.
In a world where caricatures of celebrities and Hollywood stereotypes are depicted as talking animals alongside humans, BoJack Horseman follows the titular washed-up sitcom actor as he tries to make amends years later and recover what’s left of his career.

With characters from the U.K., the U.S., and Kenya, Eye In The Sky explores the ethics of drone warfare through a joint military operation. When an opportunity arises for the team to neutralize terrorists who intend to inflict civilian harm, they must weigh the potential loss of life that would occur if they interfere.
Among the American members of the outfit, Paul plays 2nd Lieutenant Steve Watts, a US-AF MQ-9 pilot who is in charge of firing the missile should the team determine it the effective course of action. The film also marks the final on-screen appearance of Alan Rickman, in one of his best roles.
In the dry desert of Alberquerque, New Mexico, Breaking Bad depicts the journey an emasculated high school chemistry teacher, Walter White, takes to become a meth kingpin. At his side is Jesse Pinkman, a former student of Walt’s who plants the idea in his head to make meth in the first place.
For his career-defining role, Paul was nominated for virtually every award he was eligible for and became one of two actors to win the Best Supporting Actor Emmy 3 times. Other actors from the show that achieved new heights of fame due to their performances included Bryan Cranston, Bob Odenkirk, and Giancarlo Esposito.
